Responsibility is the Cost of Life

When you are born, there is a certain role you must play; a certain responsibility you must take on. Some would say that responsibility is the cost of life. My life? My responsibility? I believe your responsibility is to just live life to the fullest.

Just like Titanic, the Captain himself said, "God himself could not sink this ship, it is unsinkable," then the ship sank. It is kind of like Karma. The responsibility of the captain's life was to make sure that boat wouldn't sink and to get the passengers where they needed to be safely. He did not fulfill that responsibility, therefore he lost his life because he did not pay the cost of life.

In The Call of the Wild, Buck has definitely paid his debt, therefore he keeps his life. Eventhough inarticulate in the beginning, he learned how to pull a sled, how to live in the wild, and how everything works. He fought his own battles, and obdurately took every beating like a man because he knew he deserved it.

Clearly, every life comes with a certain responsibility. The question is: have you fulfilled your responsibility? I haven't fulfilled mine yet, but hopefully I will, after I find out what it is. It may take time, but I'm willing to wait. Until then, I plan to live life to the fullest.
